ITByte's online book selling application is a unique application which helps book publishers’ sell books online. This application lets you upload complete details of a book and can operate in multi lingual and multi currency mode.

The application lets you create your own categories and help you publish books in multiple sections. Custom pricing, extensive search, separate pricing for hardbound / paperbacks, discount management, take a peek and other features are part of this application. The application has a powerful administration interface to manage and view reports of the application.

How It Works
The application lets users search for books using a variety of parameters including ISBN, Title, Author or Key words. Once the customer finds the needed book, he adds the book into the shopping cart and proceeds to check out. The application has a built in address book management facility a secure check out and an order status management facility.

The administrator can create multiple categories and post books by uploading photographs, pricing and other details. The administrator is alerted once a book is purchased and goes online and views the order details. Once the book is shipped the administrator updates the status and the customer is alerted. The administrator receives the money from the merchant services provider.

Features & Benefits
Search
The application offers searching of books by Title, Author, ISBN and Key words. This apart the user can navigate across categories to see books within each category.

Book Description
A book is described using, Title, Author Name, ISBN, and key words. The administrator has the facility to upload the cover page of the book and also enter the description of the book, reviews, table of contents and other related books. You may activate or inactivate a book based on its availability.

Book Pricing
A book can have separate pricing for hard cover and paper back. Stock levels for each can be maintained separately. A book can be inactivated and activated at will by the administrator.

Take a Peek
The customer can view select images of the book so that the interest of the customer is heightened. The administrator may upload the same.

Discounts
The administrator can give price offs on books and also place them in the discounted sale category.

Categories
The administrator can create multiple categories and allot a book to more than one category. Moving of books and copying of books from one category to another is a simplified process..

Related Books
The administrator can specify related books of a given title. The customer will be able to view the related books of the title and may browse the same.

Address Book
The customer has the facility to manage his/ her own address book so that he can send books to multiple shipping locations with ease.

Order Management
The administrator receives alerts on a successful order and can update the status of the same once it is shipped. The administrator has the facility to manage inventory of books once the order has been executed.

Newsletter
Administrator can generate an HTML based newsletter and subscribe to all subscribed users. An automated subscription management script is part of the application.

Events
Customers can view the events posted by the administrator and can respond to the same. Events posted based on topic and date.
